These are the (Second best??) transport films ever made

A few weeks ago, I published a post giving the view of film expert Dr Benedict Morrison on the best films about transport ever made.

It inspired some lively comment on social media.

So here are your opinions on those that he missed.

American railroad thrillers were entirely missed from Benedict’s list but you put him right.

Eliot recommended Under Siege 2, while Adam pushed Unstoppable.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, Steve reminded us of 1930s comedy Oh Mr Porter, while Blake stayed in that era with The Lady Vanishes.

Sci-fi fans weren’t missed out with Daniel suggesting Snowpiercer, while Martin moved from sci-fi to surrealism with Airplane.

Mike fed my tram enthusiasm with a pitch for Malcolm (I’d never heard of it - sounds great fun!).

Andrew focused on vintage with Burt Lancaster in The Train, while Hugh also took us back in time with Kes (and if you’re wondering where the transport is: it’s the milk float!).

Do you agree? You can, once again, give your thoughts on LinkedIn.
